ABOUT THE ARTIST

Phum Viphurit is a singer-songwriter based in Bangkok, Thailand. Raised in New Zealand from the age of nine, his love for laid-back music began there and continued into adulthood as he started writing and releasing music with Rats Records, an independent label based in Bangkok, in 2014. His musical style is a mixture of cultures and colors, portrayed in a mellow, upbeat yet intimate sound. His first LP, Manchild (2017), included the sleeper hit “Long Gone,” which marked the beginning of his international career. This was followed by the EP Bangkok Balter Club (2019), which featured “Hello, Anxiety” and the lead single “Lover Boy,” a track that has since gained over 200 million streams on Spotify and YouTube combined. Touring throughout 2018 and 2019, Phum and his band traveled the world, performing at live houses, concert halls, and renowned festivals. After touring his latest album, The Greng Jai Piece, across Asia, Australasia, and North America in 2023, he introduced his new alter ego in 2024: Paul Vibhavadi. His first independent release under this name, Paul Vibhavadi Vol. 1, draws influence from house and trance music, sparking a new sonic era for the songbird.

Phum Viphurit ist ein Singer-Songwriter mit Sitz in Bangkok, Thailand. Aufgewachsen in Neuseeland seit seinem neunten Lebensjahr, entwickelte sich dort seine Liebe zu entspannter, lässiger Musik, die ihn auch im Erwachsenenalter begleitete, als er 2014 begann, gemeinsam mit dem in Bangkok ansässigen Independent-Label Rats Records Musik zu schreiben und zu veröffentlichen. Sein musikalischer Stil ist eine Mischung aus Kulturen und Klangfarben, geprägt von einem sanften, zugleich schwungvollen und intimen Sound. Sein erstes Album Manchild (2017) enthielt den Überraschungserfolg „Long Gone“, der den Beginn seiner internationalen Karriere markierte. Es folgte die EP Bangkok Balter Club (2019) mit den Songs „Hello, Anxiety“ und der Leadsingle „Lover Boy“, die inzwischen über 200 Millionen Streams auf Spotify und YouTube zusammen verzeichnet.
